Patagonia was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973. Patagonia is an outdoor clothing manufacturer for silent sports: climbing, surfing, skiing, snowboarding and trail running.
Patagonia’s mission statement is to build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Patagonia pledges at least one percent of the sales to environmental groups around the world. For over 40 years the folks at Patagonia have focused on making easygoing, high-performance gear that leaves the smallest footprint possible.
Patagonia is currently using 69% recycled or renewable materials and it’s aiming to raise the portion up to 100% in the future. In an attempt to improve the lives of those who make Patagonia products, Patagonia offers 192 styles that are Fair Trade Certified for sewing. In 1994, Patagonia made the decision to take a stand against chemically intensive cotton and switch to organically grown cotton throughout the line. You have a possibility to return or exchange your order within 14 days of receiving the order. The 14-day return period starts from the date you receive the package and you must notify us within 14 days about the return. After notification, the package must be returned to the carrier within the next 14 days.
Product return cost from Finland is 4.90€ per return and the amount will be deducted at the return processing, direct product exchanges are free.
In other European countries, returns cost 9.90€ per return and the amount will be deducted at the return processing, direct product exchanges are free.
Outside Europe you are responsible for the shipping fee of the returns + 25€ additional cost of handling the return

More than 70% of the materials used by Patagonia in their volume are environmentally preferred raw materials. Patagonia also aims to use only mostly preferred materials in the future - including organic and renewable cotton, recycled polyester and recycled nylon. Patagonia does not use Phthalates in their production and they also aim to become Perfluorinated Chemicals free in their production by 2025. Patagonia is committed to the quality and durability of its products and offers repair services to further extend the life of its products.
A large part of Patagonia's products are made in China and Vietnam. Patagonia holds its suppliers (and itself) to the highest environmental and social standards in the industry. To manage the process, they rely on industry tools and standards, and when sufficiently stringent standards do not exist, they create them themselves.Patagonia has aSupplier Workplace Code of Conduct which is based on International Labour Organization (ILO) core labor standards and requires compliance with all laws in each of the countries in which their factories operate. They are also a member of the Fair Labor Association® (FLA). The FLA is a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization established to hold apparel companies accountable for responsible labor practices.
Patagoniahas disclosed their annual climate footprint since 2013 and they are working hard to reduce their emissions. Around 95% of Patagonia's carbon emissions come from the supply chain, which includes everything from the crops needed to make yarn to transporting finished garments to warehouses, stores and our customers' doors. Patagonia's goal is to become fully carbon neutral for the entire business and supply chain by 2025.
