"Clothing for positive change. From the farm to the factory to our closets, we all have an opportunity to reduce our impact on the environment."
prAna was started in a garage in Carlsbad, California back in 1992. At that time yoga and climbing gear left a lot to be desired, so Beaver and Pam Theodosakis decided to create their own stylish and sustainably made clothes.
Their aim is to create sustainable clothes from natural materials and without any harmful chemicals. They are using mainly organic cotton, recycled wool and hemp. The manufacturing process is transparent and respectful to both people and the environment. They have partnerships with dedicated organizations like Fair Trade, bluesign®, Textile Exchange, Responsible Down Standard, and many more.
