Recycled polyester

Recycled polyester is made from recycled materials like PET plastic bottles or polyester fabrics. The process to convert PET into recycled polyester requires 33% less energy than producing new polyester. Garment manufactured from recycled polyester can be recycled again and again with no degregation of quality. This way we also reduce our dependence on petroleum as new polyester is not needed.

What is polyester?

Polyester is synthetic fiber made from petrochemical products such as ethylene glycol by a process called polymerization. The manufacturing process is not environmentally-friendly, it uses a lot of water and chemicals.

Polyester is commonly used because it is wrinkle-resistant, easy to clean and it dries quickly.
