Recycled polyamide is a material that has been recycled from waste. The raw material source for recycled polyamide can be old fishing nets and carpets, and also waste from manufacturing industry.

What is polyamide?

Polyamide fabric is made from strings of polyamide monomers (extracted from crude oil). The most famous form of polyamide fabric is nylon. Polyamide is entirely synthetic material. It is commonly used in the garment industry because its elasticity and softness. Nylon was actually originally developed as an alternative to silk, because silk was expensive to produce.
