The Arctic collection of merino wool socks are exceptionally warm. The socks are knitted in a soft and thick terry knit, which traps air and provides excellent warmth and comfort. Breathable and always dry to the touch, these socks effectively wick moisture away from the skin. These multi-purpose merino wool socks are designed for cold conditions or for feet that get cold easily.

Care instructions
- the most important maintenance measure for a merino wool sock is airing
- the less often you wash, the better
- machine wash at a low temperature of 30 degrees, with the product turned inside out
- spin the socks as lightly as possible
- the use of a washing bag saves machine washable merino wool socks
- use a detergent suitable for washing wool, pH less than 7
- do not use fabric softeners
- do not use a tumble dryer
- socks can be ironed or steamed at minimum power
- use a lint remover - merino wool socks may become linted by rubbing

North Outdoor's main raw material is mulesing free merino wool. The wool they use is also WOOLMARK® certified, which guarantees high quality merino wool. They also have the international OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 which guarantees that North Outdoor products are free from substances harmful to health in contact with the skin.
Social Conditions
North Outdoor manufactures its products in Finland and China and is a member of the amfori BSCI. Amfori BSCI (formerly known as the Business Social Compliance Initiative, BSCI) is a global initiative that aims to improve working conditions in international supply chains.North Outdoor also wants to contribute to responsible operations in China, so they personally visit the factories 2-4 times a year.
Climate
